Sweet corn has the shortest season we get. For a few weeks in August the farm stands around Libertyville have it stacked in bins, and the only sensible response is to buy more than you think you need.
This is what we do with it. The corn goes on the grill bare so it can char, and the honey butter goes on afterward, off the heat, because honey scorches faster than sugar does. Our hives sit out behind the dealership, so we are careful about where that honey ends up.
